This month, the children in Makeni have written a play about child's rights. The play addresses the issues of child labor, the right to education, the right to healthcare, the right to play, be cared for, and loved. After the children act out these issues, they staged a peaceful protest to call attention to their struggle. In the final scene, the children meet with the chief, and the chief declares that anyone in violation of child's rights is in violation of the law. Enjoy the pictures!
